Shopping done in excess is a serious issue and a growing problem everywhere. People addicted to compulsive shopping need to be aware that they do in fact have a problem and should get help. I believe that a solution can be aimed towards stopping shopaholics at the point of purchase— before they make an impulse purchase —because this exercises their self-control and will help correct their compulsive shopping habits. Hi guys! Hope you’ve all enjoyed your holidays. Been a crazy 2011, lots of projects for both work and school. But compared to the previous years, I’ve really focussed alot of time into my final year of design school. (Afterall it is the last year and better make the best out of it) If you’ve been following me on twitter, you might’ve already noticed all the late night tweets (or I guess early morning, for some), but yay for #604insomnia!
Anyway, I will (eventually) put up some of the work I’ve done last semester, but it’s just been a busy start to the new year, and thanks to the flu/cold bug going around, I was forced to slow down and take it easy. Been sick since new years and it appears that I’m still sick. Being sick is definitely not my ideal kind of start this year but as somewhat of an optimist, not going to let some stupid bug bring me down. Lots of new projects ahead this year, really excited!
Oh, and below is just a little sneak peek of one of my projects I did for type class. Will update my portfolio section soon, promise.
After almost 4 years of launching the original joystudio website, a new design was due. I know, took me long enough right? So here it is, Version 2.0 (beta)! It’s only a soft launch though–still need a bit more fine-tuning, testing and browser debugging..etc etc. Thoughts? Let me know what you think of the new design!

It’s been awhile since I last blogged, this summer was just soo busy! Anyway, here is the last assignment I did for my typography class (comd 204) over the summer. It was basically designing our own modular typeface. Overall, I really enjoyed the assignment, but I wouldn’t say I am 100% satisfied with what I came up with, but with the time restrictions and everything going on, I would say I’m at least 80% satisfied.
I still can’t believe summer is almost over, but the sad part is that it has to end with rainy weather this week. TypicalRaincouver life.
Anyway, stay tuned for more posts of my design work (hopefully it won’t take me another month to post, haha). Happy Tuesday!
This is a video project I did with my classmate Jennifer C for design core (DESN 210). It’s still pretty rough, and probably needs a better ending.. but oh well! It was due today. Maybe in the future I will polish this piece up, but for the time being, just enjoy!

Wondering what I’ve been busy doing? I’ve just been enjoying life as a design student, doing some contract work, enjoying the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, and taking on whatever comes up in life. Hey everyone, sorry for being totally MIA. I always plan to blog, but been super busy with clients and school. Very recently, I updated my portfolio section of this site with new additions of my recent work. Also, it is no longer built with flash, instead it’s jquery-tastic! It works and functions almost exactly the same as before, but better since it now can be viewed on the iphone.. woot!
It’s been awhile since I last posted. So what have I been so busy doing that I ditched my blog for such a long time? Well I’ve been collaborating and working for this start-up company called Noomiifor quite some time. It finally publicly “beta” launched on October 1st. Check it out!

I wish I had more time to blog, but there’s just not enough hours in a day.. and one’s gotta sleep some time. Alright..so what have I been busy with? Everything! But mostly design, WordPress, and even Drupal. No time to update everyone with everything right now.. so I’ll just post a new logo I designed about a week ago since it’s my most recent logo design work.
The logo was for a photographer who specializes in maternity/baby and wedding photography. Like the pregnant belly-like J?
Oh.. I will update my portfolio soon.. lots of stuff to put up.. but I haven’t found the time to get everything together. So anyway.. hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
